If you are selling your home in Newington Forest, you must request a Virginia Property Owner Disclosure Packet from the Association. Use this form as your request for the resale disclosure information which the Virginia Property Owner's Act requires you to furnish to a prospective purchaser who enters a contract with you to purchase your home.  An inspection of the lot is required before the documents are released by the Association. You can also get the request form by contacting the NFCA Office at 703-451-8563. The cost of the packet is $125 for electronic copy and $150 for paper copy. Please make checks payable to NFCA.

We try to do the inspection required to complete the Disclosure Packet first thing in the morning on Wednesdays. If your request is in our office by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday we can include your property in that week’s inspections. Packets can take as long as two weeks to prepare, so be sure to get your request in promptly. Do not allow your real estate agent to limit the number of days allowed to turn over the packet to the new buyers.

Additional information when selling you home in Newington Forest:

• you may place one “For Sale” sign in your yard;

• directional signs can be used for an Open House only and must be removed immediately following the Open House;

• Virginia State law allows the Association up to 14 days to prepare the packet. We try to have the packets ready within a week of the inspection, but the office workload sometimes necessitates a delay.
