Board of Directors
The Newington Forest Board of Directors is an elected group of volunteer residents working together with other residents of Newington Forest for the betterment of the community. The following is a list of our current NFCA Board of Directors:
President: John Crooks (703)440-8329
The President is the chief operating officer of the Association, is responsible for the general and active management of the Association's business, and is chairman of all meetings of the Board. The President has direct oversight responsibilities of the Association staff.
Vice President: Joe Martocci, Jr. (703)455-3567
In the absence of the President, the Vice-President performs the duties of the President and, when so acting, has all the powers of, and restrictions put upon, the President. From time to time, other duties may be assigned to the Vice-President by the Board of Directors.
Treasurer: Robert Cooper (703)455-9756
The Treasurer is responsible for keeping full and accurate accounts of disbursements and ensures that an annual audit of the Association's books is undertaken at the completion of each fiscal year. The Treasurer serves as the liaison for the Finance Committee and works in conjunction with that committee to formulate a draft annual budget for review by the Board of Directors.
Secretary: Jeff Rose (703)440-0152
The Secretary is responsible for ensuring that an accurate record of all proceedings and meetings of the Association is kept. During Executive Sessions, where the staff is not present, the Secretary is responsible for accurately recording the proceedings. The Secretary has the authority to affix the corporate seal to any instrument requiring it.
Assistant Secretary/Treasurer: Ken Frye (703)455-6465
In the absence of either the Treasurer or Secretary,the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer performs the appropriate duties for either position.
Board Members: Jeff Bailey (703)690-6998 & Jeff Builta (703)440-1318. The Board Member assists the Officers in the management of the business affairs of the Association. From time to time, they may be appointed by the Board of Directors to spearhead special projects.
