2008 POOL REGISTRATION

2008 Pool Registration Info & Form

Don't forget that all residents interested in using the pool this coming summer must register to use the pool in May.

Keep in mind that as a resident of Newington Forest, you do not pay any additional fees to use the community association pool with the exception of two dollars for each new pool pass. Residents of the community who are interested in using the pool this summer must register and update their passes. There is no charge to validate your existing pool pass for the coming season if it already has a bar code. Residents whose passes don’t have bar codes will be required to purchase new passes this year. Use of the pool is restricted to residents who live in the community and their guests. As a reminder, all residents over 1 year of age will need a pool pass. Registration will be held at the Community Center.

Registration will take place on the following tentative dates at the listed times:

**Note: Please be sure to register for the pool and update your passes during this week. There will be a fee of $50.00 charged for pool passes issued after pool registration week.

PHOTO: We will be using a photo ID pass again this year for residents who are 1 year or older. The cost for a new pass is $2.00. Children who have moved to an older age group must have a new ID photo taken with the correct background color as shown below.

RESIDENTS WHO HAVE BAR CODED PASSES FROM A PREVIOUS YEAR MUST HAVE THEIR PASSES RE-VALIDATED IN ORDER TO USE THE POOL. Passes which have a bar code but do not require a new photo may be brought to the Community Center along with a completed registration form by one member of the family. There is no charge to re-validate passes containing a bar code.

All passes must have a picture and a barcode. If you or someone in your family cannot come during registration hours for a picture, please send/bring a photograph which clearly shows the face of the resident who needs the ID.

Residents who find it difficult to make one of the scheduled registrations may drop off barcoded passes that need to be re-validated along with their completed pool registration form at the Community Center PRIOR to the start of registration. Passes left at the Community Center will be available for pickup at the pool beginning Opening Day, May 24th.

NEW RESIDENTS: New residents who move into the community after May 10th should contact the Association Office at 703-451-8563 for information on registering for the pool.

LATE REGISTRATION: Residents who missed regular registration can complete pool registration by dropping off a completed application, $2.00 for each new pass to be made, a $50.00 per family late fee, photographs to be placed in the passes, or bar coded passes which need to be re-validated at the Community Center. Do not drop passes, forms, etc. in the drop box. Please use the mail slot in the door. Residents registering late must provide their own photograph which clearly shows the face of the resident needing the pass. WE ARE SORRY THAT WE WILL BE UNABLE TO PROCESS LATE REGISTRATIONS UNTIL AFTER THE POOL OPENS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. RESIDENTS WHO DID NOT REGISTER DURING THE REGULAR REGISTRATION WEEK WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE POOL OVER THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

RENTERS: If you are renting a property in the community you must supply NFCA with an updated statement from the owner transferring the owner's pool privileges to you in order to complete the registration process. To avoid paying the late fee, renters should register for pool use during pool registration week even if you have not yet received the owner's letter.

GUESTS: Guest passes can be purchased at the guard station BY CHECK ONLY or during normal office hours at the Association Office for $5.00. RESIDENTS MAY NOT ATTEND THE POOL AS GUESTS. Until school closes for the summer, guests will not be admitted on weekdays but are welcome on weekends and holidays after 3 p.m. when accompanied by a resident. Once school is closed for the summer, guests are welcome anytime on weekdays as well as after 3 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Beginning July 10th, guests are welcome at any time.

PARKING: Please park only in the designated parking spaces. Overflow parking is permitted on Rushing Creek Dr. which is directly across the street from the pool entrance. There is no parking allowed on the grass or in fire lanes. Parking along Southrun Rd. could lead to a ticket from the Police.
